Makeup That You Won’t Sweat Off

I have always had trouble getting the right makeup. This one is too dark, this one is too cakey, this one slides off my nose, this one smells like shit, etc. I have finally found a fantastic combo of products that actually work and stay working all day. Stay tuned for an updated version, because I am most likely going to completely change this entire routine in about a month or two. Hey, I can’t help it.

I always start off with a good moisturizer. I know I know, if you want to have a matte and flawless all-day mask, the last thing you want to do is slather a moisturizer all over your face. But I promise you, you need this. Moisturizers are used to improve skin’s hydration or water-content of the skin, not oil-content. Just be smart in which one you choose.

The Boujee Moisturizer: Estee Lauder Day Wear $54

The Budget Moisturizer: Cetaphil Oil-Free Moisturizer $14

My favorite primer on the planet is the Benefit Porefessional. I will never not use this. The only thing I will pick up instead of this is when I am feeling boujee enough for the Dr. Brandt Pores No More.

The Boujee Primer: Dr. Brandt Pores No More Primer $45, mini for $22

The Budget Primer: Benefit Porefessional $31, mini for $12

I always use a very very small amount of left over setting powder on my powder brush to “set” my prep and prime. I can tell a difference when I don’t do this. My nose gets super shiny when I forget to do it. If you have a full coverage foundation that use an ass ton of, definitely skip this step. You will get cakey AF.

My favorite holy grail boujee ass foundations are as follows in particular order: Estee Lauder Double Wear, Marc Jacobs, YSL All Hours, Makeup Forever Ultra HD, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, Too Faced Born This Way and Koh Gen Doh. My two drugstore go-to’s are the Maybelline Matte and Poreless FitMe, Loreal Total Cover, and Loreal True Match. Right now, I am currently using the Estee Lauder Double Wear in Dusk. I am in the process of playing with the new Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Foundation. Stay tuned for an in-depth review of that one.

Estee Lauder Double Wear in Dusk, $42

My two favorite concealers of all time are the NARS Creamy and the Tarte Shape Tape. Go NARS if you want a soft, natural look and Tarte when you wanna looked beat.

Setting Powder

Ya’ll already know what my favorite setting powder is. I also really really like the Makeup Forever HD translucent powder and the Laura Mercier powder.

RCMA No Color Powder, $12

Too Faced Chocolate Bronzer, Medium/Deep, $30

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown, $21

Milani Baked Blush in Bellisimo, $7

Literally any Colourpop highlighter. They are like $6. Apply with your finger, these bitches will not pick up with a brush.

Morphe Palettes, $25

Revlon Colorstay $6. The Tartiest by Tarte is also AMAZING

I go back and forth between The Maybelline Great Lash, Loreal Voluminous, and the Too Faced Better than Sex. They are all amazing, but I find the Great Lash bleeds really bad.

Get you some Lilly Lashes. They are so gorgeous and last so long. Especially if you’re gross and sometimes (a lot) sleep in them. The Ardell Faux Mink are amazing as well.

Lilly Lashes in Goddess (Miami is great too) $19.99

Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are by far my favorite liquid matte lipsticks. I’ve tried them all. Kylie is shook.

Kat Von D in Bow N Arrow, $20

Setting Spray

The Urban Decay All Nighter and De Slick setting sprays are pretty fantastic. On super long and hot days I use one before and after applying my makeup. Save money and just by the sample size. You don’t need much and the regular size is HUGE.

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray Sample Size, $15
